Lionel Hampton Promotional Brochure

From the Whittaker estate in West Virginia which offered a collection of jazz and blues memorabilia, an original Lionel Hampton promotional brochure with a written massage and autograph from Lionel Hampton inside the front cover. There is no date of publication but several photos in the publication are dated 1945 - 1949, so likely dates from 1949 or the early 50s. Hampton is shown with many contemporary celebrities including Jackie Robinson, Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, Benny Goodman, Milton Berle, and Louis Armstrong. Hampton's written message reads: "Best of Luck Always Phil Jefferson - Lionel Hampton".
