Brand new factory sealed dvd.

During the final days of his life in 1849, Edgar Allan Poe becomes steeped in a tale that explains how the Baltimore-based writer was found dead on a park bench.

While investigating a horrific double murder, police detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) makes a startling discovery:

the killer's methods mirror the twisted writings of Edgar Allan Poe (Cusack). Suspecting Poe at first, Fields ultimately enlists the writer's help to stop future attacks. But in this deadly game of cat and mouse, the stakes are raised when Poe's lovely fiancee' (Alice Eve) is kidnapped and the ransom is to keep Poe writing!

A contrived mix of fact and fiction and reminded me of other similar author stories such as 'Kafka', 'Naked Lunch' and 'Time After Time'.
