This is a beautiful Mid Century original oil painting by noted Brazilian (later Californian) artist Ozz Franca, b.1928 - died 1991 - probably painted in the late 50's into the 60's. Franca gained notoriety at the time for his clients which included John F Kennedy, The Nelson Rockefellers, Edward G Robinson and Frank Sinatra and he was dubbed at one time " The West Coast Challenger of Andrew Wyeth " The subject matter is a young girl with flowers in her hair. Franca signed in the upper left corner. The painting is 16" x 20" while the frame measures 23" wide x 27" tall. I detect no cracking, flaking, paint-loss or scratches. I have a special box made to fit this painting for safe shipping.
