 Henry St John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke was an English politician, government official and political philosopher. He was a leader of the Tories, 

and supported the Church of England politically despite his antireligious views and opposition to theology.

 This piece is an interesting step back in time. Ready for a new collector's home.

  Eighth Edition. Size: 7-3/4 x 5 inches full calf, raised bands and gilt tooling, 322pp., indexed. Engraved frontis.

Fair to Acceptable only! As is often seen on antique History books!

 BINDING: Contemporary Full leather with five raised bands, gilt ruling to spine and gilt lettered label.

 The covers are scuffed and soiled, with some edge-wear and rubbing to the corners and spine-ends. 

The spine is scuffed and worn with chipping and some loss. 

 The front cover loose, but present, and with the rear cover loosening, almost detached. The content is with some foxing.

This Book is NOT in EXCELLENT Condition, but still is in Fair to Acceptable condition for it age from 1754 VERY RARE item.
