An accurate copy of St. Stephen’s first silver dénár coin. The original was likely minted by St. Stephen immediately after his coronation. It was found in a hoard with 40 silver dénárs attributed to St. Stephen in Nagyharsány in 1968.

Observe: The front of the coin depicts a hand holding a lance, with a small flag bearing the text “LANCEA REGIS”. The lance was one of the symbols of royal power.
Reverse:The legend “REGIA CIVITAS” runs around a church on the back of the coin.
