Offered is a wonderful old wood block print of the Hegereiterhaus in the town of Rottenburg, Bavaria, Germany. I believe originally built on 1591, as the kitchen to a hospital, it is now a hotel. Art by Georg Barlosius (1864-1908), engraved by Megereiter. It reads Dasmene-rieter-haus- Rothenburg. Hand tinted colors, on a hand made laid stock. Bottom half moisture stained, as scans show. Some soiling and browning to the paper. Print measures 11 1/2"w x 13 1/4"h. Circa late 1800s. Walnut frame, darkened with age, some fnishing wear, heavier on top. The frame measures 13"w x 15"h. A nice find.
