Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy on-set photograph taken during the production of the 1930's drama romance, PRIVATE NUMBER, released in 1936 by the Fox Film Corporation and directed by Roy Del Ruth. A maid (Loretta Young) secretly marries the son (Robert Taylor) of her wealthy boss (Paul Harvey). The cast includes Basil Rathbone, Patsy Kelly, Joe E. Lewis, Marjorie Gateson, Jane Darwell, Paul Stanton, John Miljan, Monroe Owsley, and Billy Bevan.

The image features an on-set shot taken during the film's production and depicts Loretta Young seated in a chair as the film's director, Roy Del Ruth, along with cinematographer J. Peveral Marley, assistant director William J. Scully, and camera operator Harry Davis along with other crew members. It is in fine- condition with a light 7 in. horizontal crease starting on the left border that goes through Miss young's hat; a 1 in. diagonal crease on the bottom left corner; and light signs of random wear in the borders. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.

Early in the picture, Loretta Young is discussing a blind date with Patsy Kelly. Loretta says she hopes the guy can dance. Patsy replies that the last one was a corporal that "was as handsome as Gable, and Gable ain't bad!" To which Loretta replies, "Oh I'll say not!" This is ironic because when filming The Call of the Wild the year before this film was released, Loretta had an affair with Clark Gable, leading to the birth of their daughter, Judy Lewis. Audiences at the time didn't realize the irony since this secret affair wasn't made public until years later.
