Import from USSR. Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, discoloration spots, and surface impressions (front/back); surface abrasion near bottom-right on back. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); two seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots; tiny tear near top. 1988 pressing with white label. (Not a cut-out.)
Gaudi, by Alan Parsons Project, has a leaner, edgier sound that is best represented on Standing on Higher Ground, the easiness and touch that envelops this album is a treat. The album reveals passion with the last track, Paseo de Graciad, a finely orchestrated instrumental done exquisitely in full Parsons style. A musical by Eric Woolfson with the same name, and based on the songs of this album, was released in 1993 in Germany with the songs sung in English. The album hit 66 in the US, and hit No.1 in Spanish Albums Chart. Standing On Higher Ground also placed No.3 on the US Rock charts.
