This Flemish Stoneware stein was a customer premium packed in 100# bags of flour by the Old Sleepy Eye Milling Company of Sleepy Eye, MN. It was made by the Weir Stoneware Company of Monmouth, IL. Vintage of this piece is 1903.

This heavy piece features a profile of Indian Chief Old Sleepy Eye (Ish-Tak-a-bah) and a depiction of his village, although the company logo is not a picture of Chief Sleepy Eye. A bust of the Chief also serves as the handle.

The stein holds almost 28ozs to the brim. It stands 7-1/2" tall, is 4-3/8" at the base and the opening is 2-1/2" wide. It has a chip in the bottom rim, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Please see the pictures for details. I have included pictures with and without flash for better viewing of those details.
