This is a wonderful pair of earrings with a Native American or Southwestern Design to them. The black is a textured etched overlay against the silver, which is the style used by the Hopi artists. These are not signed and they are not marked as sterling silver, but I was told they are sterling by the jeweler, they were not tested. The earrings hang down 1 1/8 of an inch and the oval section measures approximately 1 inch long by 5/8 of an inch wide. I believe the symbol represents a Bighorn Sheep, Goat or Ram.
They are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished them; I will leave that up to you. I have taken many photos so you can see the details for yourself, please look at them carefully as they are part of the description. Remember that small imperfections show up in the magnified pictures that are not visible with regular viewing.
These would be perfect to wear with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans.
