Le Nu D'Apres Nature: La Femme This is a rare collection (partial) of photographs from a series publication called Le Nu D'Apres Nature (The Nude After Nature). This one focuses on female nudes and features a 51-page preface (in French) by the art critic and poet Yvanhoe Rambosson and 20 photographic b/w plates of artistic, air-brushed nudes of female models. Other issues featured nudes of men. From the plate numbering, it appears there were originally 42 (or maybe more plates) but at least 24 are missing. Bound in marbled 1/3 leather with marbled endpapers. 8.5" x 6". 20 full-page photo plates present. |
