From 1971 comes a set of matching dated automobile tags with the matching key chain hanger they use to offer. Both tags have been used (they were mine in 1971 and were on a 1969 Mercury Cougar) and do show some minor rust and chips in the paint, minor denting, rusting along the edges of the rear tag (but nothing eaten through) etc. as would be expected. They could be cleaned up quite nicely.
They have been bouncing around the farm mostly in cabinets or hanging on a nail from the ceiling with other tags. I just happened to find the matching key chain hanger when going through some other items from the attic and decided to go ahead and see if anyone would be interested. Would look stunning on a Cougar Eliminator, Mustang Mach 1 or Boss or a Torino Cobra Fastback (which I later owned a Torino but not that one) of the same year but these are just suggestions.
