| This is an older paperweight that was made in China. The word China appears on the ground down pontil. I have read that the Chinese began producing a lot of paperweights beginning in the 1930s and that these weights have slightly yellow glass and a low dome. That certainly fits the description of this paperweight. The paperweight is 2 inches in diameter and about 1 inch high. It is in very good condition with one little scratch towards the top. The pontil has been ground down but is not polished. Please email any questions. |
