This is a wonderful vintage ornate handcrafted Spanish Damascene Dragon Ship or Galleon trinket dish/ashtray. The gold tone metal is decorated with gold and silver paint. The four sails are accented with red Maltese crosses. It is very three dimensional and has an exotic feel to it. It is most likely from Spain, although it is not signed. It measures approximately 2 3/4 inches in diameter and stands 1 1/2 inches tall.

It is in great vintage condition. I have not cleaned or polished it as I did not want to remove any of the original old patina. I will leave any shining up to you. There is some slight tarnish on the bottom, but I'm sure it will clean up nicely. Please look at the enlarged photographs as they are part of the description. Remember this was used as an ashtray so there will be some staining.

It would make a great addition to your collection of vintage Damascene items. Great sitting on a bar or to be used as a little ring dish on a dresser.
