Kerrapro Pressure Reducing Dermal Pad/Strip - Help Prevent Pressure Ulcers
3M™ Kerrapro™ Pressure Reducing Pad is made from flexible, durable silicone, designed to redistribute pressure to protect against pressure related tissue damage in patients with low levels of mobility, or on areas where medical devices may cause damage to skin due to pressure.
KerraPro pressure reducing pads are made from 100% silicone for a flexible fit. The stable silicone construction resists compression to help provide comfortable, odorless pressure ulcer prevention between contact points
KerraPro pressure ulcer prevention products are available in a versatile range of shapes and thicknesses. Sheet, heel, sacrum/ankle, and strip options ensure there is a silicone pressure reducing pad to suit any application
Kerrapro Pad is indicated for use on:
- Patients at risk of developing pressure damage as part of a pressure ulcer prevention programme.
- Intact skin, category 1 pressure damage and sites of recently healed pressure damage.
Kerrapro Pad must be applied directly to skin. Do not apply over clothing or wound dressings.
How to use Kerrapro Pad
Before using the product, please consult the instructions for use.
- Ensure that the skin is clean and dry prior to application then place the Kerrapro Pad directly on the skin.
- Silicone has a natural ‘tack’ which helps keep the pad in position. An additional method may be needed to keep the pad securely in place, for example clothing, a secondary bandage or tape.
- Remove the Kerrapro Pad at least once daily, check integrity of the skin underneath.
- KerraPro silicone pressure ulcer pads can be easily cut to a custom size or shape and applied to a wide range of areas for a comfortable, flexible fit.
- Kerrapro Pad should be cleaned daily. To wash Kerrapro Pad, moisten the pad with soap, massage to remove dirt then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Only reuse Kerrapro Pad while in its original condition. If damage occurs or the pad loses its natural ‘tack’, please replace with a new product
