Based on the novel by Emily M. Danforth, The Miseducation Of Cameron Post follows Cameron ( Chloe Grace Moretz ) as she is sent to gay conversion therapy center after getting caught with another girl. The conversion therapy center is run by the strict Dr. Lydia Marsh ( Jennifer Ehle ) and her brother, Reverend Rick ( John Gallagher Jr. ) - himself an example of how those in the program can be "cured". At the facilities Cameron is subjected to outlandish discipline, dubious "de-gaying" methods, and earnest Christian rock songs - but in this unusual setting, Cameron connects with peers and she's able to find her place among fellow outcasts: the amputee stoner Jane ( Sasha Lane ), and her firend, the Lakota Two-Spirit, Adam ( Forrest Goodluck ). Together, this group of teenagers from an unlikely family as they fight to survive.
