"Working up a sweat?"  Why don't you join Jenny for her daily workout?

In the late 1970's to early 80's, Fisher Price introduced a series of soft bodied dolls with vinyl limbs, lush, brushable hair, vinyl faces, and easily removable clothes and accessories.  The series, called My Friend dolls, featured several female dolls: Mandy, Becky, Nicky, and Jenny.  This particular Jenny doll is in NEAR MINT condition and was produced for only one year, 1984-85.   She was third and last edition of the My Friend Jenny dolls.  Her arrival coincided with the aerobics craze sweeping the nation.

Through clever engineering, Jenny can be posed either in a standing or sitting position.  Her soft body invites plenty of cuddling and her facial features (e.g. dark brown eyes, coral colored lips, and soft blushing cheeks) are endearing to say the least.  Her long, brunette hair and bangs may be styled in a variety of ways. All of her hair plugs appear intact. Her hair does not appear to have been trimmed in the past.  An instruction booklet on the care of maintenance of these My Friend dolls is included in this offering.   Jenny can be washed in the clothes washer and tumble dried in the dryer.  In addition, her hair can be shampooed and styled. 

I've tried to include a variety of photos to illustrate how remarkable Jenny really is.  His yellow/white flowered cloth body is spotless.  The original Fisher Price tag is still present.  Her vinyl body is free of any marks, stains, scratches etc.  All of her original clothes are included.  Jenny's outfit consists of a magenta (hot pink) long-sleeve sweatshirt with aqua sleeves, an aqua mini-skirt with a magenta "belt area, a magenta and aqua braided aerobics headband, soft magenta and black striped jogging pants with elastic foot straps and elastic waist, purple knit leg warmers, magenta and white tennis shoes, and an across the body purse.  The absolute ONLY "flaws" I can find on Jenny or any of her clothes are:

1. One light spot of age discoloration on the front of her skirt; and

2. Some minor unraveling of the trim on one of her leg warmers.  This could easily be fixed by someone skilled with a needle and thread.  Since my husband claims "someone in my family died from using a needle," I'm going to leave this up to the new owner to fix.

As far as the age spot is concerned, I have successfully removed similar spots on other MY FRIEND dolls' clothing by using SHOUT. I anticipate this spot will likewise come out on this skirt as well. Jenny and her clothing are odor free.

I will be surface cleaning Jenny prior to sending her to her new home.  She weighs approximately 2 lbs. UNWRAPPED and my location is Lafayette, IN (47905).
