This listing is for two replica jackets for the first edition book or very early printings. Later printings and book club
editions are a different height. Please measure this before purchasing. I can adjust the size for those if you

Replica or facsimile dust jacket for the first edition book....

Facsimile dust jacket for the first edition of "The Old Man and The Sea". Trimmed, enclosed in a Mylar sleeve and pre-folded to put on your book.

The book size in HEIGHT of the first edition is 8-3/16" tall, should have a pale blue cloth binding. The Book Club editions look like this, but are not the exact size in height...and will have a small blind stamp dot on the lower right corner of the rear board...even on the inside it may or may NOT have the letter "A" on the reverse of the title page. It will mimic the first true edition. Many think that they have a first edition, when in fact it is a Book Club edition. However, I can make a jacket to fit your Book Club Edition...just measure the height of the boards of what you have and let me know. Some come in a dark blue cover. NOT a first edition.

Please Note: As with all my facsimile jackets, they are done to be handsome objects of art and each one of them has my signature in pencil affixed to the verso of the jacket, signed and dated by myself stating that the jacket is a facsimile. It will also have my "JAM" monogram tastefully done on the rear flap. This helps to add to the collectability of the facsimile dust jacket.

These jackets are made after a tedious digital restoration and checking the colors as close as possible to the original dust jacket. Only the finest pigment inks are used and acid-free paper. They will never be mass produced.
