This classy silverplated serving dish stands on three ornate feet.  It has an open design band around sides.  Lid has a unique pineapple finial. A pineapple has long been used as a symbol of hospitality.  Handles are also well designed and firmly attached. There is a crack on the rolled lid edge.  (See detail photo #6)  This doesn't take away from the overall surface quality of this set. Otherwise no dings or scratches.  Buyer will want to polish this set as there are some small areas of tarnish - consistent with its age and use. Inside is a 1.5 QT vintage pyrex #023 bowl without chips or cracks. A label was found inside but information is no longer readable. Research shows set is identical to Sheffield Silver Co. product. Measures 8" diam X 11" including handles X 7.5" diam lid. Buyer is purchasing a set of three pieces.
