Synopsis from dust jacket:

Man's best friend is his dog, but Professor Petit had five dogs who loved him and came to his rescue.

When Professor Petit came to Puddling Center with his troupe of five highly trained dogs to give performances, he little realized the trouble that was in store for him. He had a magnificent, but a circus featuring a tiger came to town and no one wanted to see dogs perform. Then they met Willie.

There were lots of odd jobs in town and Willie found jobs for all the dogs. They herded sheep, pulled wagons and helped the weaver and the miller. Together with Willie these highly trained dogs not only recouped the Professor's fortunes but also drove the competitors right out of town.

A delightful story which proves that dogs treated with kindness and understanding can do remarkable things. One of Professor Petit's dogs could talk!

This book is in very good condition. Normal tanning to pages and endpapers. Name and a couple of markings on front endpapers. Dust jacket has some wear with small chips, creases, and tears. A great collectible book!
